THE GREAT ALPINE ROAD
The Great Alpine Road is a major attraction of the Alpine Region of North East Victoria. Traversing from Wangaratta to the coast at Bairnsdale, the Great Alpine Road follows the Ovens River to Bright and onto the mountain village of Harrietville before climbing over the Great Dividing Range to Mount Hotham and Omeo before picking up the Tambo River on it's journey to the Gippsland coastline. Along the way you will be greeted by stunning vistas ranging from quaint villages to lush rural and rugged alpine panoramas.
